A site visit to the Dutch capital!

Monday, September 2nd, 2024

Site visits are always a crucial day in the pre-production process, and this week AP Live hit Amsterdam to recce a few new venues for one of our client’s  yearly events.

Global venue research is just one of the services we offer; therefore, these site visits are the ultimate way to grow our knowledge preparing for the future. We harvest all the best spots and add them to our ever-growing database! Whether you are looking for a high-end luxury dining spot, a quirky event venue or even accommodation to provide your attendees with a seamless experience, our team can find the perfect space for any occasion.

An early start in the Dutch capital meant we could visit two accommodation options to begin our day–  the Conservatorium hotel and the Amstel hotel.

The Conservatorium:

A luxury hotel where style and chic meet history and culture. The new build onto the old bank building means each floor and each room is bespoke giving this hotel an incredible feel of uniqueness and individuality.

The Amstel:

We felt like we had stepped back in time when entering the Amstel, where the classic style and décor makes you feel almost royal. We immediately thought that this would be a wonderful place to enjoy an afternoon cream tea – which they offered in their stunning conservatory with picturesque canal views.

After a spot of lunch and those sensational accommodation visits, we headed on to our stunning  gala dinner venue, and it did not disappoint! The team absolutely cannot wait to work here next year…

Final stop was … The Maritime Museum:

Modern, light and airy, the glass roof of the Maritime Museum courtyard provides stunning natural light – something often lost in many museum buildings around the world. The courtyard is available for private evening hire – a perfect place to celebrate with a view of the stars above (hence why we can’t wait for this event to roll around.)

So that rounded off our day in the Dutch capital. After lots of venues, in depth conversations, 23,000 steps and, of course canals (165 to be precise), the team headed home to begin prepping for this incredible event.
