Julie in a nutshell

In a nutshell, I’m a person ready to take on new challenges and uplift those around me. My zest for life, adaptability, and unwavering dedication define who I am. I’m a grounded yet effective communicator with a big smile. Helping others and supporting them to exceed their project expectations is what I love. I’m a critical thinker, always improving processes and making ideas truly stand out.

In my spare time, I’ve taken on a full home renovation on my small country cottage. It’s located near Sir Isaac Newton’s apple tree, and I hope some of that wisdom falls through my new doorway.

When time allows, I volunteer as a front-line Sergeant in the Special Constabulary.

Typical Day

Ideally, my day begins with a refreshing jog or walk amidst the local forestry. However, in reality, it starts with enjoying a comforting cup of fresh coffee (or three) before diving into the tasks ahead. Working remotely offers a tranquil setting, the convenience of no commuting, and the flexibility to put in extra hours without battling traffic. It’s a peaceful environment that sparks creativity, and the added perk is that the staff canteen (aka my kitchen) is just a stone’s throw away!

Team meetings keep me connected to my amazing new colleagues between site visits and HQ meetings.

Life never slows down for me, as I find myself immersed in a whirlwind of activities. When I’m not fearlessly tackling challenges, you’ll find me enjoying the company of my two adored cats and my beautiful horse, who provide the perfect grounding amidst the hustle and bustle of life.

What I wanted to be when I was younger

My first serious childhood dream was to become the greatest pirate on Earth! I’m not sure if it was the allure of adventures, treasures, or the thrill of traveling that captivated me, or perhaps it was simply because I couldn’t quite pronounce “pilot” correctly!

Although I did end up becoming a private pilot, my dreams of being a pirate became a distant memory as I pursued a career as cabin crew. This allowed me to embark on countless adventures and fulfill my travel aspirations, exploring exciting destinations, immersing myself in rich cultures, and indulging in culinary delights, all without having to resort to piracy.
