Meet The Team - Liz Wacha!

We sat down and asked Liz a few questions!

Q: Liz in a nutshell…

”Outside of work I am the go to party planner for my friends, I am also a big foodie so end up being the one that is always looking for the latest places to eat and drink. I also have a 7 year old daughter who is the life and soul of the party and my twin. I have an obsession with organising also, so you will always find me decluttering in my spare time.

Q: What did you want to be when you were younger?

When I was younger I didn’t actually know what I wanted to do. Sometime in primary school I wanted to be a teacher but that was very short lived. When I was leaving secondary school and I was trying to figure out what I enjoyed, I remembered the feeling of being at the airport when you are going on holiday and the energy at the airport. I thought to myself I wanted to do something within the airline industry so I studied Travel & Tourism. When this course was finished, I still wanted to stay in the same field but, I wanted to incorporate events somehow.”

Q: Why events?

”I went on to uni and studied Travel, Hospitality & Tourism management. I remember the movie premiers that used to happen in Leicester Square, in particular the Harry Potter premiers for some reason. I remember thinking how amazing and glam they looked and from then I knew I wanted to put on events. Those moments have led me to where I am now. I decided to work my way up within the events industry. I started off as an event administrator at the Grand Connaught Rooms, worked in some great venues and even had the opportunity to work at the Excel Exhibition Centre where my event skills were tested to the limits.”
